So, last month I saw a number of UFOs in the sky. I eventually tore myself away from the spectacle to get my video camera. Besides the triangular UFO (which I did not get on film) I also saw an orange orb hovering over a corn field (below the tree line). I decided to tell the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), and thus wrote a detailed report and sent it in, along with some video clips of what I saw. I was later contacted by an investigator form a local MUFON branch who wanted to interview me over the phone. Well, that did not work out for a while as I was more concerned with getting through college than I was with talking to this man. I also did not see much of a point to it, as I submitted such a detailed report.
Well, last night I finally talked with the man (whose name I will not disclose). He was very snarky and condescending.
He acted as though I was wasting MUFON’s time with my idiocy. He said something along the lines of “Don’t zoom in. That may look cool in the shows with the hot rods or whatever but it doesn’t help us.” Excuse me?! Oh yes Mr. Investigator, that was my first thought. “I’ll make it look cooler by emulating my dawgs with their fly whips on Pimp My Ride!” Are you kidding me?! That was condescending and discriminatory towards my age. His whole tone and manner were, as I said, as though I was wasting their time. I had better things to be doing, sir, you were wasting my time! I do not live to get MUFON earth shattering footage of UFOs thank you very much!
He wanted to record our interview. Fine, I thought, maybe that’s why he wanted to call me. As I said I did not see much point to it. Now, it seems, the whole point was to have a record of his insulting my video and telling me I just saw planes and helicopters. I am not an idiot. I have grown up near two airports and have seen airplanes and helicopters every day and night of my life. These were not planes!
All in all, he was very unpleasant and I will not be telling MUFON about anymore of my sightings (if I have any).

Yes I also have had unpleasant, unprofessional dealings with MUFON as well. I had multiple sightings over a period of days. I reported them in full detail, times, places, direction, estimated Altitude and speed, plus full description of the objects. I had witnesses too. I got no response from MUFON for about two weeks or more. Then the MUFON state director called me. She put a message on my voice mail that was rude and demanding that I call her right away, now! You have to call me right now! Like I was in trouble or something. She also emailed me the same type of response. I called her a few times and I got no answer, left her a message. The next day she called me back. She started asking me why I was seeing so many UFOs and that she knew what was going on. Kept hinting there had to be a reason other than me going out side to watch the skies due to my first sighting. I find out from her that she never even had read any of my reports. None of them! She started telling I must be an abductee or contactee. They are purposesly visiting just you. Why do they want to visit you? You must have had this though out your childhood as well. I'm thinking hold on lady, first you never read any of my sighting reports and now your feeling in the blanks too, including my life story! I would try to explain to her the events, because she had not read even one of my reports. Anyway I would get part way through what I was trying to tell her and she would break in and keep trying to finish my story. In the end I just let her think what she wanted, which was far from the facts. She wanted me to join MUFON and be an investigator, she didn't try to encourage me, it was more of a demand. She also demanded that I write multiple short stories detailing parts and or time periods of my life! She wanted to publish them in her magazine! I don't have time for that, nor do I want my life's story made public. I just wanted to report a few UFOs for heaven sake! She also told me not to report any more sightings to MUFON, because it wasted too much of her valuable time! That if I reported on them she would have to investigate them. I was to report my sightings directly to her! She wanted to publish them in her personal magazine, not a MUFON magazine. She claimed sightings were not important, they were just appearances, displays. She wanted to get to the root of my visitations. She didn't care about pictures etc, that this was just a sighting, the visual part. So she labels me as an abuctee/contactee from childhood till current day! Just like that over the phone! So I'm ordered that I can only report sightings if I have any, just to her! Only the people that get her personal magazine will know of my sighting etc. It was for her personal gain! I of course didn't write any stories etc. She became pissed off and I got rude emails from her, asking where was my short stories I was suppose to write! That I wasted her time on the phone with her etc!!!! I never told her that I would do anything. In fact I told her I didn't want write anything etc. She was also very mad because I didn't join MUFON and be an investigator as well. I have also had other dealings with other state directors. In which I think for the most part were just debunkers or just didn't investigate the case at all. They would just write the case off as a natural object, balloon, star etc. That MUFON solves many cases by a star map! I read one case to where these two objects where moving ssw and the wind was blowing sse at just under ten miles per hour, this section director wrote the case off as balloons! Any way so I have seen both extremes by MUFON!
ReplyDeleteTo add to my above complaint about MUFON: They seem to get very mad and take it personal, if you tell them no one is an expect on UFOs. They try to tell you all the years they have studied etc. How hard they have worked for no pay. How scientific they are etc.(I'm thinking so then tell us all whats going on etc and end the mystery!) It's all a mystery and they are guessing just like the rest of us. Expects my a--!

I reported a real daylight sighting on 7-7-05 - the same day as the London bombings. First I saw a broad side view of a ship with two vertical fins on the back but didn't see any wings. The second sighting two ships were straight overhead circling and they had no wings. They had a rectangular shape, not a saucer shape. I filled out the report on Peter Davenport's site and he commented that I saw military aircraft not UFO's. What part of NO WINGS did he not understand! Peter Davenport falsified the report. All I can say is, if anyone has a real sighting; don't report it to these doofuses at MUFON. They want someone who will go on Coast to Coast AM and talk about these lights they saw in the sky for thirty minutes. I think MUFON should be called DUFON!

DeleteIn 2009 I reported some sighting to mufon...no one came to look at them. And to make a long story short I was asked by mufon not to report anymore UFO to them... In 2014 I decided to Join Mufon as a Field agent and figure out what going on with them cause I have seen a lot of ufos since 2009----------------I thought the mufon book binder you pay $135.00 would tell you everything about ufos ...like their was some secrete or something...lol ...their really nothing in their about investigation...then I thought they take you out into the field and you learn from the senior investigators...nope nothing...at all?? So it all come down to what your job is like for example if you work at subway and have some good schooling that about the mentality of mufon investigators ....their no scientific no how like they claim.....well their is kinda ...they go by Radar reports...but control tower radar report are controlled by the federal gov. and I doubt the gov. going to say their was a mass ufo sighting on the radar report...so usually the report they get has nothing on it....and mufon tell their investigators to report that 90% of ufo sighting are man made ...and if my reports will say where classed as ufo on the report then I wont be giving any more reports to investigate...lol .....So If you decide you want to report a ufo ...just put ur first name down and your city thats all no address or ph number and it still will be counted as a report....Guessed they will kick me out after reading this...but mufon only after the $$$
